The giant of the citrus family and an Ipoh speciality — Tambun pomelos are famous nationwide. Thick spongy rind protects large juicy segments that are sweet with a pleasant bitter edge, firmer and less messy than grapefruit. Sold along the road into Ipoh and given as a gift during Chinese New Year.
